Ode to Enchanted Light by Pablo Neruda

In this poem I found

Personification and Simile- Under the trees light has dropped from the top of the sky, light like a green latticework of of branches

The personification is “light dropped from the top of the sky” this is personification because light is a nonhuman thing, and it is getting a human like characteristic, dropped.

The simile is “like a green latticework of branches” this is a simile because it is a comparison of the light shiNing down and green latticework of branches using like or as.

Another simile I found was “drifting down like clean white sand,” this is a simile because it is comparing drifting leaves to white sand using like or as.

The metaphor in this poem is “This world is a glass overflowing with water.” This is a metaphor because it compares the world and a glass overflowing with water without using like or as.
