Vocabulary Story (Lesson 3)

Carter the Imposter

Charles never thought his best friend would be an imposter. Charles’s friend Jacob seemed to be an exceptional man. Jacob was a proponent of recycling, and imposed his recycling campaign on strangers. Jacob would expound the strangers with information about recycling. Jacob was always exhilarated when the bystanders became interested, and wanted to join his campaign. Jacob would even hold expositions for recycling, and how its effect will cause boundless happiness for the earth. When Jacob was blamed for being an imposter, he begged everyone for exoneration. All of Jacob’s friends learned his true identity. Jacob was actually a man named Carter. Carter believed the only way he could get anyone to listen to his exorbitant amount of speeches; he had to pretend to be a popular, rich man.
